NyQuil Deconstructed

We're all sick, with runny noses and coughs. This weekend, Kurtis took Nyquil one night and reacted as though he had food poisoning. Either his stomach didn't like the small amount of calamari appetizer he had that evening, or it didn't like the fresh dinner I prepared that worked for everyone else, or it was the Nyquil (not near its expiration either). So I went online to check into Nyquil. What I found didn't make me want to take it! I'm not sure strong narcotics are what you need to get over a cold: how about drying out the nose and letting your body heal, maybe with a painkiller to ease the journey. But cannabinoids and narcotics? Eh, I'll skip that and the food poisoning symptoms.
